Licence Policy

Last updated: May 22, 2026. This policy describes what your WCKD Forms purchase grants. It supplements our Terms of Use and Sales and Refunds policy. WCKD Forms is a product of WCKD Marketing®, Inc. (“WCKD Marketing,” “we,” “us”).

1. Grant of licence & commercial use

When you complete checkout, WCKD Marketing grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable licence to install and run WCKD Forms for your internal business purposes. You acknowledge that you are acquiring this licence for commercial use. You do not receive ownership of, or any rights in, the source code or underlying intellectual property; all rights not expressly granted in this policy are reserved by WCKD Marketing. You may not sublicense, resell, rent, lease, or repackage the product for distribution to others.

2. Licence scope & installs

WCKD Forms is self-hosted: you install and run it on your own infrastructure. Unless your order states otherwise, one purchase equals one licence, tied to the email address used at checkout and issued to a single individual or legal entity (the “Licensee”). The licence permits deployment across an unlimited number of websites or installs operated by the Licensee and its employees in the ordinary course of the Licensee’s business. The licence includes the main WCKD Forms dashboard and WCKD Forms Lite for routing submissions. Use by separate legal entities, clients, or third parties not employed by the Licensee requires a separate licence.

3. Updates, support & lifetime licence

Your purchase grants a lifetime licence to run WCKD Forms — it does not expire. Your purchase also includes a twelve (12) month introductory period of software updates, security patches, technical support, and access to download installation files, beginning on the date of purchase.

After the introductory period ends, you may subscribe to continue receiving updates, support, and download access. If you do not subscribe, your licence remains valid indefinitely: you retain the perpetual right to continue running any version you installed during your introductory or active subscription period. However, access to download installation files — including the version you were previously entitled to — requires an active subscription. We recommend retaining your own backup of the installation files you download during your active period.

We strongly recommend maintaining an active subscription, as operating outdated software exposes your infrastructure to security risk for which WCKD Marketing is not responsible.

4. Acceptable use & restrictions

Except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law that cannot be contractually overridden, you may not: (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, except to the extent required for interoperability under applicable law; (b) use the software to build a directly competing product or service; (c) remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices, branding, or licence-key mechanisms; or (d) use the software in violation of applicable law.

5. Licence transfer & prohibition of resale

Your licence key is tied directly to your WCKD Forms account and email address. Licence keys may not be shared, published, resold, sublicensed, redistributed, or used in group purchasing arrangements where the licence is split among unrelated parties. A change of ownership of the Licensee entity (e.g., acquisition or merger) does not automatically transfer the licence. To transfer a licence to a different owner or email address, contact our support team; transfers may be approved or declined at our sole discretion.

6. Suspension & revocation

WCKD Marketing distinguishes between two situations:

  • Suspected breach (notice & cure): Where we reasonably suspect a breach of this policy — including inadvertent publication of a licence key, accidental sharing, or unclear scope misuse — we will normally provide written notice and a reasonable opportunity (typically seven (7) days) to cure the breach (for example, by rotating the key or removing it from a public location) before taking further action.
  • Revocation for cause: We reserve the right to immediately suspend or revoke a licence, without refund, where we reasonably determine that the licence has been resold, deliberately redistributed, used unlawfully, used in breach of Section 4, or where a previously notified breach has not been cured. Following revocation, you must cease all use of the software and remove it from your systems.

Refund eligibility in the situations above is governed by our Sales and Refunds policy.
