WCKD UI Terms of Use

Effective date: 2026-05-06. For the software, the binding grant is the MIT License in the LICENSE file in this repository (SPDX: MIT). The sections below add context and non-legal guidance.

1) Software license

WCKD UI is released under the MIT License. Copyright © WCKD Marketing®, Inc. You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, subject to MIT conditions—chiefly: keep the copyright and permission notice in all copies or substantial portions. The full text is in LICENSE at the repository root (and in generated download packages).

2) Starter kit and your brand

WCKD UI is intended as a starter kit: layer your tokens, themes, and layouts (for example in theme.css or your own overrides). The MIT license governs the WCKD UI files you receive; it does not restrict you from building your product or client work on top.

MIT already requires the license notice in distributions of the Software. WCKD also asks that you give visible credit to WCKD UI and WCKD Marketing®, Inc. with the URL wckd.marketing/ui in at least one of the following (good practice for client trust and support):

WCKD Marketing® is a registered trademark of WCKD Marketing®, Inc. The MIT license does not grant rights to WCKD trade names, logos, or branding. Do not use WCKD, WCKD UI, or related marks to imply endorsement or origin of unrelated products. Misleading use of marks may be addressed outside of this license.

5) Warranty and liability

The Software is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, as stated in the MIT License. WCKD Marketing®, Inc. is not liable for damages arising from use or inability to use WCKD UI beyond what MIT permits.

This page may be edited for clarity. If anything here conflicts with the LICENSE file in the repository, the LICENSE file controls for software rights.
